make a connection between technology and are environmental world.

up Interactive Notebooks. Observe rubric
for Interactive grading. First
interactive page is to explain the focus of environmental science. Describe the recent trends in human
population and resource consumption.

are the delivery options?

Delivery options that are being used are word
document’s/ Evernote app
5. What constraints exist?

Time is the major constraints students will face
(interactive notebook will take the student time to put together and work
properly)
6. What will the students do to determine
competency?

Student’s notebook will be graded biweekly using
the rubric attached. Quizzes will also be given on information obtained.
7. What is the timeline for project
completion?

This assignment is an ongoing yearly assignment.
The assignment itself will be broken down as followed( timeline is subject to
change based on student progress)

9. What are the pedagogical considerations?

Consideration on key size, might be difficult
for special education to use the IPAD
I like the idea of having the students take ownership for their own notes and understanding of the material. It is always better for the students to synthesize their understanding then to simply put notes on a chalkboard or slideshow and expect them to copy and understand.
ReplyDeleteI have used evernote briefly, but I am not familiar with all of the features of the app. However, I like the idea of having "interactive notebooks", where students could add multimedia or links to their notes, and be able to collaborate or share their notes with other classmates using this medium for note taking. Hopefully, if this were to go really well you would be able to step back and students would become creatures of habit. Nice idea!
